Every blog is a way of telling stories. We were assigned to research some storytellers and their blogs, and see what tips they had for us as bloggers. Here is what I have found:

rules for writing:
1) don’t talk about weather
2) no prologues or forwards
3) no verbs/adverbs for dialogue other than “said”
4) use !’s sparingly
5) too many descriptions and long sentences are distracting and disengaging
6) get feedback
7) thesaurus is your friend
8) fix whatever’s wrong without hesitation
9) be human. no overly strange descriptions or passages
10) feel free to copy until you have your own style
11) think about how it will sound to a reader
12) be an avid reader and get out every once in a while
13) have a notebook/pencil ready
14) avoid crowds/writing in public
15) if it’s a job, treat it like one
